Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and who we share it with.
Effective date: October 22, 2026
In short: we use your information to get you insurance quotes and look after your policies. We share it with insurance companies only to do that. We do not sell it.
Who we are
Hachem Insurance Agency ("we", "us") is an independent insurance agency in Michigan. This policy explains what we collect through hacheminsurance.com and how we use it. Questions: 313-828-2266 or [email protected].
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us in a quote form, by phone or by email. Depending on the type of insurance, this can include:
- Contact details: name, business name, phone, email, mailing and business addresses.
- Business details: type of business, years in business, sales, payroll, number of employees, Tax ID / FEIN, building and property details, claims history.
- Home and auto details: property details, drivers' names, dates of birth and license numbers, vehicles and VINs.
- Documents you upload, such as a current policy or declarations page.
- Basic technical data our hosting provider records to keep the site secure (such as IP address and browser type).
How we use it
- To prepare and compare insurance quotes for you.
- To contact you about your request.
- If you become a client: to place, service and renew your policies, issue certificates and remind you about renewals.
- To meet legal and regulatory requirements that apply to insurance agencies.
Our staff may use automated tools, run by our hosting provider, to read documents you upload so the details can be filled in faster. A person at our agency reviews the result.
If you use “Scan driver's license” on our auto quote form, the photo is read automatically by our hosting provider's tools to fill in the form for you. The photo itself is not saved; only the details you then send us are.
Who we share it with
- Insurance companies and wholesale brokers we work with, so they can quote or insure you.
- Service providers that run our website, email and records (for example, Cloudflare for hosting and storage). They may use it only to provide that service to us.
- Government agencies or others when the law requires it.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser remembers whether you chose English or Arabic. Our hosting provider may set a cookie needed for security. Staff who sign in to our office system use a sign-in cookie.
How we protect it
Information is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored with access limited to our agency staff, each with their own password. No system is perfectly secure, so please call us instead of emailing very sensitive details if you prefer.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for as long as we service your policies and for the period insurance and tax laws require afterward. If you request a quote and do not become a client, you may ask us to delete your request.
Your choices
You may ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, subject to what the law requires us to keep. Contact 313-828-2266 or [email protected]. If you become a client, you will also receive the privacy notices that insurance law requires from us and from your insurance company.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Information about a young driver on a family auto policy is provided by the parent or guardian.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
If the English and Arabic versions differ, the English version applies.
